Waverly Newspaper. Herb Engelbrecht built the Santa House for the Kohlmann Park in about 1970. It was set up every November for Santa to use while listening to the wishes of Waverly children. During the rest of the year it was stored at the old city landfill near Lime Rock Hill. During one summer, storm high winds tossed it about and broke it up. The city council gave the Waverly Lions Club permission to build a new "Santa's House" and place it in Kohlmann Park.. BI; 12 Sept. 1989. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 91N0056.
