The writing on the back says " Aug '95". When an old log cabin was dismantled parts of the walls were brought to the Bremer County Historical Society Museum to recreate this scene. Bill Lynes sitting on a rope bed was one of the society that worked to preserve the views of the past. The museum building was a hotel called the Waverly House. It sits on the corner of W. Bremer and 4th St. right where the old stagecoach route made a jog on its way from Janesville to points north. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No 95N0007
