This photo appeared in the Waverly Republican on 6/6/1945 and shows Waverly's first all-community Memorial Day observance in many years in front of the war memorial in Harlington Cemetery. Several recently discharged members of the armed services as well as veterans of previous wars, members of women's organizations, and boy and girl scouts took part.
