The fire fighters museum is located next to the fire stations on SW 1st St. It holds a collections of artifacts, including bub extinguishers made in Waverly by the Common Sense Co. see also 89B0251 [construction of in 1982.] An addition was added in 1991 becoming the front portion of the museum. The museum stood here until 2006 when it was razed to make room for the new fire station. The current [2025] Fire Dept. museum was dedicated in Oct, 2009.
