Back of photo says "Knight home". W. R. Knight, a local brick layer, built this home for himself on NE 1st st. just north of the courthouse in about 1880. Mr. Knight built many of the business buildings in Waverly and the surrounding towns. The flower bed and steps belong to the house next door.
