200s Block E. Bremer Ave., Waverly, Iowa, 1910. Large event with floats and participants in a parade. Horse-drawn buggies and a few vehicles, with onlookers lining the sidewalks on both sides of the unpaved street. Tall electric poles. Businesses and lodging on both sides of the street.
The date of the photo is probably 1910: Clark and Mitchell had opened an auto dealership and garage in the Creamery Supply building at 300 E. Bremer Ave., and Herman Ewerts advertised a painting and decorating business in the same building in 1909. This may be a parade for the Bremer County Fair in fall 1910.
