Local enthusiasts viewed the Beech-Nut autogyro flown by Amelia Earhart. She is visable in the rear or main pilot's seat, just above the N in the logo.
When Amelia Earhart married George P. Putnam, and American publisher, in February 1931, the couple did not have a honeymoon because she was involved in a nine-day cross-country tour promoting both autogyros and the sponsor, Beech-Nut chewing gum. This visit may have been part of that tour.
