Houses; Out of the Ordinary. The house which stood just east of the parking lot at Mitchell Manor was moved to a new location on S.E. 7th Ave. To avoid wire and blocking traffic, the house was taken to S.E. 5th St., turned south one block and moved west along S.E. 1st Ave. to 1st St. where it turned north and then onto Bremer to cross the bridge. From there the house turned south on 1st St. S.W. and journeyed to 7th Ave. where it turned east and moved along until it reached the new lot. The summer of 1990 gave people the chance to watch several homes being moved.
Waverly Theater is showing Pretty Woman and Robocop 2. Domino's Pizza is also on this block. "Waverly Tire Co." truck.
