Buildings - Brick/Stone; Century Companies of America; Insurance Companies. This building was known for many years as the Mutual Aid Building (early name for Century Cos.). It was also an office for a loan company and the state liquor store was for years located on the first floor. Dr. Kromer had his dental offices upstairs. The local joke was that one could stop on the first floor for an anesthetic before going upstairs to have a tooth pulled. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 90N0460.
