Automobile Dealers; Automobile Garages. This building was built in 1913 for the Peoples Home Auto company. The front was of classic design. The impressive white building was home over the years to Ford and Chevy dealerships, as well as to a roller skating rink and pop manufacturing firm on the second floor. On the east side a ramp made it possible to drive automobiles up to the second floor. During WWII cars were stored there awaiting sales to authorized buyers. Once a month the cars were started to check on their condition. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 90N0364.
