This facility just east of Brookwood park was abandoned as a sewer plant when the new one was opened in the early 1980s. At the time the city was in need of storage area for equipment, gravel, etc. They had the dome cover added a few of changes and with very low cost to the city the problem was solved. "The Dome" as it was called served served for years, all 11,000 sq. ft. of it.
