Waverly Newspaper. Brandenburg's jewelry store openedwas opened by R. E. E. Brandenburg in 1886 in a building a block west of the store seen in this photo. Later his sons Ed and Gilbert joined the firm. In 1934, the family built this building but Gambles was the first occupant. A few years later, the jewelry store moved into their own store. This photograph appeared in the BI; 10 June 1980, in an article about the longevity of Brandenburg's jewelry store. Ed Brandenburg stands behind the counter. Ed and his wife Eva ran the store for years. Brandeburg's closed in 1991.
