Neil's Sport Shop opened in the narrow half storefront east of of 1st Nat'l Bank in October 1954. The owner was Neil Plopper, a golf pro. Two years later he sold the business to Dale Coonradt. Dale needed more space so in 1960 he moved across E. Bremer to 99 E. Bremer. The half front store was absorbed into the bank building on the east.
