Farmers Co-op. was located at the Chicago Great Western stockyards on NW 12th St. C. E. Winkey, the manager of the Shippers Association. The Bremer-Butler Farmers Reload Assn. operated to improve marketing by banning together farmer's shipments and thus increasing their profits. Some of their shipments went as far as NY, Mass., PA, WI, and IN. Begun in about 1930 the group was dissolved in 1962.
