Fred Infelt bought out Wm, Mooney's variety store in January 1948. By 1954 his business had grown and he wanted to expand his inventory so he doubled the size of the store. November 1961 brought a new balcony. The red upper front went on in 1964. He was ready to retire in 1981, so the store closed. The the exception was the fabric and domestic departments which were moved to Juanita Stephenson's The Corner Shop.
