The old swinging bridge was built in 1906 by two men named O.B. Zimmerman and Charles Hart. It was destroyed in 2008 by a flood. They rebuilt it in June 2008 and re-opened it to the public in 2010 with a monument nearby made from the old bridge. The new bridge was built of cables, wood, and concrete.
