Wally Zahn's paint store moved into #205 E. Bremer in 1955. It burned in 1969 during the Coast to Coast fire next door. It was rebuilt and remained there until it was sold in 982. Infelt's variety store was opened in the former Ben Franklin front at 209 E. Bremer Ave. They doubled the store. In this photo their bright red front has been added. At far right a portion of the Gambles Hardware store is visible. After 30 years at Gambles Cecil Harvey sold it to Paul and Berdene Miller in 1975. Larry and Joyce Wubbena bought the store in 1978. It closed in Sept. 1982. Looking north and slightly west across E. Bremer between 2nds and 3rd St. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 01N0227
