Rendezvous and Rollie's Superette . Both of these buildings were razed in 2000. W. Bremer, south side. The Rendezvous bought out the Town Tavern in the early 1960s and closed around 1978. The next tenant was a restaurant owned by Reuben Steege.
Rollie's Superette was a private enterprise with ties to A&G stores. Briardale was their signature brand. Rollie and Rudy Langholz opened the doors in 1960. Rudy left the business a short time later. Continuing the grocery business Rollie added coins to his inventory and gradually made that the focus of his business. Both buildings are now gone. They were razed when the Veterans Memorial was installed on that corner.
